At the NeuroRehab and Balance Center, we have developed a community class system of varying intensities designed allow a safe, effective, and fun way for people with Parkinson's Disease (PWPs) to exercise. Classes are taught by highly qualified and enthusiastic Physical Therapists (PT’s) with specialized Parkinson’s training and certifications including but not limited to LSVT BIG, and Parkinson Wellness Recovery. Our goal is to provide these classes free of charge to improve access for all PWPs in our community. Physical therapists are assisted by an exercise physiologist to improve the amount of 1:1 attention our participants require and improve the flow of the class itself. Our Speech Language Pathologists have worked with the PT’s to incorporate LSVT Loud and SPEAK OUT concepts in the group setting as well.
