Grant Application and Guidelines
Parkinson Support and Wellness (PSW) provides grants to community wellness programs or projects serving those with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers in the greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Dayton, and Southeastern Indiana areas.
Community grants range from $250 to a maximum of $5,000. Organizations must submit a PSW grant application to be considered for funding.
The application is available for download as a Word Doc here.
The 6-month grant cycles are January–June and July–December. Applications must be submitted between April 1-15 for the term beginning in July and October 1-15 for the term beginning in January.
Organizations such as community, recreation or fitness centers/companies, churches or faith-based organizations, schools/colleges/universities, providing programs specially-tailored to the needs of persons with Parkinson Disease may apply. This excludes nationally sponsored organizations.
Areas of Funding
There are 3 areas of funding for which an organization can apply: education, support and exercise. Grant monies may be used to subsidize participant fees, equipment, salaries, training and facilities costs.
Applications will be reviewed by the Parkinson Support and Wellness Grants Committee. Final decisions will be released each June and November. The Parkinson Support and Wellness Grants Committee reserves the right to make the final decision regarding the amount of funding awarded to each organization. Organizations will be notified of decisions via e-mail. All funding decisions are final.
If a program or project is approved, grant checks will be mailed directly to the recipient organization’s address listed in the grant application.
