Dancing with Parkinson's in the News

Recently, one of the exercise opportunities supported by our organization has been getting a lot of media attention! Dancing with Parkinson’s added classes at the Cincinnati Ballet beginning in October as part of the Ballet company’s CBMoves Department. Local news stations (WLWT, FOX19, Local12), podcasts (The Cincinnati Herald), and publications (The Cincinnati Enquirer) were eager to pick up the story!

Please note all footage was shot before the most recent Covid surge. Presently, all classes are masked.

Class leaders say attendance is slow, but steady— the folks coming to the new classes are having a great time, and would love to have more classmates. To sign up for the new classes at Cincinnati Ballet, you can either show up 15 minutes ahead of class or register online. Class are at 12noon on Mondays at 2pm on Fridays at the Cincinnati Ballet studios on Gilbert Avenue.

This class is an expansion of the Cincinnati Dancing with Parkinson’s programming that has been ongoing for 10 years and currently meets Wednesdays at 2pm at the Wyoming Fine Arts Center. One attendant of that class even had an OpEd published about the class in the Enquirer!
