Educational Opportunities

Parkinson's Support & Wellness sponsors wonderful educational sessions called PD EDU Parkinson's disease education). If you are not familiar with PD EDU the sessions are currently being held online on the 3rd Saturday of every month at 11am.

PD EDU has covered many topics relevant to PD. Every year there is PD 101, presented by a University of Cincinnati neurologist from the Movement Disorder Clinic. This session is a wonderful time to be introduced to the basics of PD and to have a refresher on this diagnosis. Throughout the year other relevant topics are presented ranging from cognitive decline to speech concerns, to the value of exercise to disability and social security among many others. Past PD EDU programs are available to access on YouTube and can be reviewed to catch anything you might miss or to share with family and friends.

Parkinson's Support & Wellness also has the Spring Forum, an annual event providing a day of education and networking in  the PD community.

University of Cincinnati sponsors the Sunflower Symposium every year in late summer with another day filled with the latest PD medical research, information and news. The opportunity to network and learn about PD is available here in our community and we are fortunate to have so many excellent options.
